Hip Hop

A group of dancers traveled from Philiadelphia, Pennsylvania to teach us some of the history of Hip Hop. They put on an entertaining show and are amazing dancers!

Day of Discovery

I spent Saturday, May 14th at a workshop learning new ways to use 21st century skills to engage students in their learning. The key note speaker was Danny Forster, the host of Science channel's Build It Bigger. As the host of Build It Bigger, Forster travels the world in search of incredible feats of architecture and engineering. He shared some of the back stories about places around the world that have been highlighted on his show.

Discovery Education

Mexico Public Library

It was a beautiful morning on Tuesday, May 24th when we walked to the Mexico Public Library.  Mrs. Friehofer read a story to us then we played Bingo. We learned about different types of libraries and where they are located. Next we made bookmarks then went downstairs to listen to another story with Mrs. Dineen. Every child has a library card and was able to sign out one book. Everyone agreed this was a fun and educational fieldtrip!
